DIY gifts are awesome. But seriously, I usually end up buying gifts.
So, here’s my honest opinion.
DIYs are awesome, but also time-consuming and {most of the time} annoying.
However, this project that I’m going to share is one diy project that worked fantastically. I absolutely LOVED how they turned out and how seriously EASY this was. Like seriously. It only took me an hour from start to finish.

Here you go~
Supplies:
1.Canvases (I used thin ones like these ones)
2. Printed pictures (Just have 0.2 inches larger on each side than the canvases)
3. Modge Podge (Any will work. I used a gloss one)
4. Paint Brush (Like, whatever. I used an old one used for painting walls)
5. Ribbon
6. Glue Gun

1. Print your pics
I heard so many bad things about printing your pics from home and trying to put them on canvases, but I decided to risk it and it worked fabulously. I printed them onto regular printer paper. I’ve tried two different ink jet printers and they both worked. A tip though~ try printing a small picture first and modge-podging it onto a piece of cardstock or a spare canvas or something to see if it will smear. Then you know if your printer pics will work or not.
2.  Apply a thin layer of modge podge to a canvas.
3.  CAREFULLY press the printed picture onto the canvas.
Once you have it in place, use your thumb to rub the picture into the canvas so that the canvas texture comes through the paper. Don’t rub too hard, though!
4. Apply a small amount of modge podge to the edges of the canvas so that you can fold the edges of the picture over the canvas.
5. Paint over the entire picture with modge podge, try to leave the brushstrokes rough so you’ll get a cool texture.
6. Once completely dry, hot glue gun a small piece of ribbon to the back of the canvas to use to hang up.
What do you guys think? Adorable, right!?
Let me know what you think! And come over to my place – someplaceinthemidst.blogspot.com. It’s a lot of fun!
