Holiday Room Decor 2016

Friday, December 16, 2016

I know, I know, I say this every season, but I love changing up my room decor for each season. But there's one thing I love even more than that, and it's decorating my room for the holidays! Aside from my usual winter room decor (see post from last January), I also love bringing in...
*String of lights over headboard
*Let it Snow pillow
*DIY Christmas advent calendar
*Mini Christmas tree
*25 Days of Christmas Jar
Be sure to check out the last few posts on iDesigns to see tutorials for some of the decor above.

Countdown to Christmas Calendar

Friday, November 18, 2016

With Thanksgiving having past, Christmas is right around the corner! One of my favorite ways to keep track of the days left until Christmas is with and an advent calendar, and there isn't an easier way to make one than this! Keep checking back every Friday until Christmas for more holiday and winter posts, too.

Autumn Bed Styling

Friday, October 14, 2016

As it starts to get chilly during autumn, there's nothing better than curling up in your bed with lots of warm blankets! To style my bed for fall, I change out my usual gray, green, and blue comforter for a plain white one, and use a Threshold brand knit blanket from Target to add those signature fall colors. As a throw blanket, I use a super soft Room Essentials blanket from Target that I got for $10.00 on sale! I made a 13x24 pillow cover with fabric from Joann's that brings in the colors of my room, and the colors of fall. Some days I like to put my Nate Berkus woven tray (also from Target) on my bed with a candle, a mason jar with flowers, and some books. A candle is a great way to really make your room feel like fall, even if you don't light it! I don't usually light mine because I'm too scared I'm going to forget to blow it out, but it still makes my room smell amazing! I hope you all can use these easy, fun ways to style your bed for autumn!

Autumn Table Setting Inspiration

Friday, September 16, 2016

Candles and charger plates are my favorites this year as far as setting the dinner table for fall, and we can't forget smaller things like faux leaves, gourds, and mason jars! The key to setting a table for fall is using colors that work well together and bring the outdoor colors of fall inside! The charger plates pictured above are from Michael's, and both centerpiece trays are from Target. How do you style your table for fall?
